The Story of the La Cañada Valley
The Lanterman House is pleased to introduce Shep, the Lanterman family dog, starring in “The Story of the La Cañada Valley”. Shep lived in La Cañada Flintridge more than 100 years ago. In these two presentations, he shares information about our community’s geography, natural resources, founding people, and history of the community. The presentations are designed to meet the California State Standards for Social Studies: Grade 3.
Students can print out the following handout (or fill out the PDF) to take notes on the presentation and later create a writing prompt. The presentation is delivered in two parts, each about 7 minutes long.
